Anna Shortt-Smith

Lift Strategic is pleased to partner with Anna Shortt-Smith, a governance, legal and organisational performance specialist with more than 15 years’ experience helping organisations strengthen accountability, improve decision-making and address complex organisational challenges.

She has advised boards, chief executives, commissioners and ministers, and conducted major evaluations of government agencies and public sector functions. Her work examines the governance arrangements, policies, systems and practices that shape organisational performance and integrity, to identify weaknesses and recommend practical improvements.

With experience spanning law, regulation, health and the public sector, Anna brings a rigorous, evidence-based approach to complex issues. She combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of the practical realities facing boards, executives and public institutions.

Anna also serves on boards and governance committees, including in the health and community sectors, giving her direct insight into the responsibilities of directors and the challenges of effective governance.

Anna holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). Based in Adelaide, she works with Lift Strategic as a specialist adviser on a contracted basis.
